The Michigan Supreme Court recently reinstated the original 2018 legislative language of The Improved Workforce Opportunity Wage Act, and the Earned Sick Time Act. The reinstated language goes into effect on February 21, 2025. Each act includes provisions which will change wage and leave policies and procedures for many Michigan employers-including public libraries. Labor and Employment attorney Mike Blum from Foster Swift will discuss the changes and what they may mean for Michigan Public Libraries. Participants will have an opportunity to submit questions.

Participants attending this webinar will be able to:

  • Identify changes in wage and leave requirements due to be effective 2/21/2025.
