Started as weekly meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic as a means to quickly share essential information with public library staff, the Michigan Public Library Director Meeting has evolved to monthly meetings, covering a wide range of topics from new training opportunities to legal updates. As the landscape of public libraires changes, this is also an opportunity for these meetings to continue evolving as well, and this session will invite input for what these meetings look like in the future from those with the most at stake.
This is a highly participatory event, and attendees will be expected to be on camera and actively engage in the 90-minute conversation.
This session will not be recorded and is intended for Michigan public library and cooperative directors only.
Instructors: Michelle Bradley, Interim State Librarian, Library of Michigan, Biz Gallo, Interim Library Development Manager, Clare Membiela, Library Law Consultant, Library of Michigan
